This route is flat, with the exception of one minor hill. The majority of this route passes on roads with little traffic and through beautiful, long stretches of farmland and typical Mallorcan constructions. The only unfavorable stretch will be the one that connects the town of Algaida with Llucmajor, which is about 6 km long. After that point, the terrain will be favorable up to the finish.

In the town of Colonia de San Jordi, a place with some of the most beautiful sunsets on the island, is where this route begins. The first 75 km will be very hard with unfavorable terrain up to the start of the ascent of Coll d’Honor, in the town of Bunyola. It is 6km long but on a constant gradient without any harsh changes. During the rest of the route, the terrain will be flat and for a good amount of kilometers, favorable, up to the finish.

The first kilometer up to the foot of the pass will be a bit unfavorable, riding through zones of descents and hills. The 6.5km ascent to San Salvador is demanding due to its harsh gradient changes in the first kilometers, but the terrain will smooth out starting at km4 up to the top. Once the descent is over, the rest of the route passes through flat and even favorable terrain, in some cases up to the finish.

Campos-Cas Concos-Felanitx-Porreres-Campos

It is a completely flat route, with the exception of three small hills. Setting off from Campos in the direction of Cas Concos, we’ll ride between grain fields and a few olive groves, which are so typical of our land. Heading towards the town of Felanitx is where we will encounter a few minor hills in order to ride on favorable terrain up to Porreres after. In the direction of Campos we’ll find another small hill that we’ll surpass without too much trouble in order to reach our destination.

Setting off from Felanitx, the terrain will be completely flat until we reach Porreres. Then, riding towards Villafranca, several descents will make us suffer a bit while we pedal away between large stretches of vegetable and lettuce fields, which are typical during the spring and summertime. Once in Villafranca, the terrain will not bring us any difficulty all the way up to Algaida, where a few short but intense hills will demand a lot of strength from us and then we’ll ride on flat land up to Campos, where the last 8km will be a little unfavorable up to our destination.

During the first 7 kilometres the ground will be quite unfavourable but once in Porreres we will enjoy the ride on a flat land until we reach the village of Petra, where several low difficulty slides will guide us to Sant Joan. This is an ideal place to stop and have a refreshment in any of our EAT&CHECK points in order to face the second part of our route. On our way to Montuiri we will find a short but steep slope which will make us suffer a bit. Then we will ride towards the village of Randa on a quite unfavourable ground. Once there we can enjoy the beauty of this small village with its cobbled streets and its old washing sinks, which contain spring water coming from the Cura Mountain. From here there are only 3 kilometres lefts to reach the end of our route, which now runs on more favourable grounds.

This is a mixed route regarding its difficulty and the type of ground. In spite of having the gentle climb to the small chapel of Montision (Porreres) in the middle, the first 35 kilometres will not be particularly complicated. We will ride on a quite flat land with the exception of some slides of minor significance. Once in Felanitx we will begin the second ascension of the day: San Salvador. This one can be considered of real difficulty with 6km in length and an average slope of 6.5%. After the descent we will ride to Petra on a flat land and once we reach the entrance of the village we will deviate to connect with the road that will guide us to the chapel of Bonany. This is a short climb (3.7km) although it has some demanding stretches. At this point the ground becomes a leg workout for the next 15km where we will begin our last ascension: The Cura Monastery, of 4.5km long. Once we reach the top of the mountain pass there is just the descent left and a ride on favourable grounds until we reach Llucmajor.

A pretty demanding route, despite not being very long, but where we fill find several mountain passes. Galilea will be the first climb; 5km long without strong inclines and with a constant gradient of 4.5-5%, reaching the top to the town that gives the pass its name, Puigpunyent. Once there, we will begin our second climb to the Coll d’es Grau, with a few inclines that are a little more demanding than the ones before. At the end of the descent, we will encounter a pretty hard, 1km stretch, in order to connect with the Coll d’en Claret, which will take us to Valldemossa. We will ride on favorable terrain until we reach the Puigpunyent roadway, where, after taking the detour towards Calvia, we will begin the last climb. Es Coll des Tords is a small, 4km pass which is pretty easy and has very little gradient. Once at the top, the rest of the route will be favorable up to the finish.

A pretty short route, but with an ending that, as it gets harder, gives us one of the best possible views from the Cura Sanctuary, where, at times, Cabrera Island is visible. We’ll enjoy riding among Mallorca’s spectacular typical estates, as well as through less transited paths which will allow us to pay attention to the scenery and take advantage of being able to disconnect while practicing our favorite sport.

This is a pretty easy route that starts in the town of Llucmajor, known for its great variety of cycling routes. We’ll enjoy the initial favorable terrain and then reach a possible refreshment stop in Ses Salinas, a town of great beauty close to the paradisiacal beaches of Es Trenc. We could say that the only stretch that will be a little difficult is in the last 15 kilometers of our tour, from Montuiri to Randa, about 8km, and then the rest arriving to our destination will be favorable.

Alaro-Orient-Bunyola

On this route, before reaching the foot of the pass, we’ll encounter several hills, which although short in distance, are not less demanding. We’ll approach Coll de Orient from Santa Maria by taking secondary roads until we reach Alaro, a village near the climb where the last kilometers before the pass begins. It is not very demanding, but we will mention it because it is a constant gradient of 2%. The climb of the Coll de Orient offers spectacular views with large, natural breaks in the mountains, the same as when we put Orient behind us and head towards the Coll de Honor, a large valley that reveals the majesty of our Serra de Tramuntana.

However, once at the top of Coll d’Honor, at almost 600 meters, and having descended to Alaró, the terrain will be flat until we get to Santa Eugenia village, where 12km of rough terrain will begin. It will last until we get to Llucmajor, where it will become favorable all the way to the arrival at our destination: Platja de Palma.

This route starts at the Platja de Palma and will take us through many towns in the center of the island, with the only climb at the Santuari de Cura. We cannot consider it flat due to the stretches of unfavorable terrain in between some of the towns with descents that will make us suffer a little. We’ll have a lot of options for refreshments and rest though, in the large variety of Eat&Check points that are on this route.
