Tortosa-Amposta-Tortosa

"We leave Tortosa by the C-42 between the river Ebro, the canal on the left (which provides water to the rice fields of the delta) and the railway. Upon reaching the Marjal de Campredó, a wetland located in the industrial estate, we will leave the plain of the valley of the Ebro, ascending in search of the 'Argiler d'en Cervero' and the raft of the same name, to from here, descend by a long straight line towards the Village, opening before us, the view of the enormous deltaic plain Once here, we make the decision to continue on the N-340a, to the right or left:

- On the right: Tortosa-Amposta Tortosa (short version), the road takes us to Amposta surrounded by orchards, passing by the Tower of Burjassénia and the Tower of the Candle, belonging to the strategic framework of defense towers of the mouths of the Ebro and then crossing the river through the Amposta suspension bridge, which was the second suspension bridge in the world built in reinforced concrete after the Brooklyn bridge.

- On the left: Rolling towards the Delta (long version), the road enters the Ebro delta in the direction of Deltebre, in the heart of the delta, surrounded by rice fields to cross the river to Sant Jaume d'Enveja, by the Passador bridge, inaugurated in 2010. Until then, the more than 200 meters wide, were crossed by barges. The route continues between rice fields, towards Amposta, giving us an idea of the dimensions of the delta, more than 320 km2 of surface, and where our biggest enemy will be the wind.

Once in Amposta, the route continues along the Carrova road, a name that comes from the defense tower of the same name, declared a cultural asset of national interest, located near the road.

By the road surrounded by orchards and rice fields, we arrived in Tortosa crossing the Mil.lenari bridge, with a length of 380 m and a height of 22 m above the river. "
